This is the work of Master Tan from Liuyang, Hunan, China. He is a craftsman who doesn’t follow trends or fashion, but creates based on his daily life, resulting in a unique form of beauty. These fabrics reflect his everyday life and are created based on his understanding of his environment and nature, using locally sourced materials. The fabrics are hand-woven, so they are narrower in width and have limited applications. Currently, they are mostly used for home decor, such as curtains and tea sets. As more people use these materials, the craftsman’s work can continue. This is an issue that young designers need to consider.
