The inspiration comes from a few letters written by Liang Sicheng to his wife, Lin Huiyin. In these letters, Liang Sicheng discusses adapting a vest for winter warmth, mentioning that the large opening of the suit collar made it very cold and suggesting that a collar extension would be helpful. Consequently, an attempt was made to add a detachable faux collar to the suit jacket, which combines both practical functionality and aesthetic appeal.
