The traditional Naxi clothing, with a history of over three hundred years, represents a unique heritage of ethnic culture. The garments of young women typically feature bright and vibrant colors, while those of middle-aged and older women often use tones such as blue and black, reflecting a more solemn and elegant appearance.
Due to the Qing Dynasty's policy of integrating local governance with Han culture, Naxi men commonly wore long robes or jackets made of sheepskin or deer skin, paired with cloth trousers and shoes. The traditional long-tube boots were worn by caravan drivers.
Naxi women, known for their diligence and virtues, are famously characterized by their traditional attire, which carries distinct ethnic features and has developed a unique style.
